We have become a bit obsessed with Rock Harbor Grill, a neighborhood restaurant that consistently makes us—and our guests—very happy. We eat there often, and fortunate for all of us, it is located very close to the Inn.
The eclectic décor of the Orleans restaurant is fitting for a menu that’s equally diverse, featuring a wide range of deliciousness that spans a variety of cultures and cooking styles. The main connection is that everything begins with the freshest quality ingredients. The substantial menu offers something for everyone—including gluten and dairy-free, vegan, and picky eaters—with a lengthy list of creative options, updated with seasonal and daily specials.
On the list of regular plates is Steve’s personal favorite: velvety rich roasted marrow bones St. John, served with parsley salad, sea salt and toast. grilled Faroe Island salmon is always a great choice; so is the jumbo garlic shrimp, served with crusty bread for sopping up all the savory juices. Rock Harbor makes a great burger and has a lineup of wood fired pizzas (a fave is one topped with pear, bleu cheese, caramelized onions, and walnuts. Yum!) Rounding out the menu are snacks, shares, salads, and sides. Got a sweet tooth? Sticky toffee pudding, warm molten chocolate cake, and ice cream sundaes and floats will take care of that!
Rock Harbor Grill has one of the best local bars around, with fresh muddles, and mixed drinks that are juiced and shaken just right.
