Nature Lovers
With so many beautiful hiking trails winding through a variety of landscapes, it can be tough to decide which one to explore first!
Just a short drive from the Inn is Fort Hill, where the trail takes you along scenic high ground with sweeping views of the ocean and barrier islands. From there, you'll wander through a peaceful forest, cross a magical boardwalk over a saltwater swamp, weave through coastal pinebrush, and pass a vibrant field that bursts into purple blooms once a year.
At the Salt Pond Visitor Center, located within the Cape Cod National Seashore, you’ll find an abundance of trails. These paths lead you through quiet woodlands, around Salt Pond, across more pinebrush and boardwalks, and by tranquil ponds often visited by waterfowl. If you follow the right path, you’ll even find yourself at Coast Guard Beach—a perfect spot to end your walk.
Just a 10-minute drive from the Inn is the Mass Audubon Sanctuary in Wellfleet, home to lovely trails that guide you through forested areas out to the serene bayside.
Also in Wellfleet is the Great Island Trail, a more adventurous option that begins in the pinebrush and winds past salt marshes before leading you out to Great Island—accessible during low tide.
And for a truly magical full-day hike, don’t miss the Dune Shack Trail in Provincetown. Park near the entrance and journey across towering dunes that feel like the Sahara, past historic, rustic artist shacks along the way, and end at the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that you can only enjoy on Cape Cod!

Cape Cod Cyclists
Cape Cod is famous for its incredible Rail Trail, a scenic path that stretches over 27.5 miles and connects many charming towns along the way. Once a bustling railway, the trail has been beautifully repaved and transformed into a haven for cyclists looking to explore the Cape without too much car traffic.
The trail begins in Wellfleet and winds its way to several endpoints, including Dennis, Chatham, and Yarmouth, passing through many picturesque towns in between. We're lucky to be located just half a mile from the trail, making it super convenient for our guests. Many choose to bring their own bikes, while others rent from the great local shops nearby.
For your convenience, we offer a dedicated bicycle storage shed with a bike rack, located right across from an outdoor outlet—perfect for charging your e-bike.
And if you’re looking for another adventure, there’s a beautiful bike trail right here in Eastham. It starts at the Salt Pond Visitor Center—one of the highlights of the Cape Cod National Seashore—and leads you to the stunning Coast Guard Beach, often ranked among the top ten beaches in the U.S.
Don’t forget to stop by for some water or ice before you head out—we’ve got dispensers to help you stay cool and hydrated on your ride!

Culture Vultures
The Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis is a wonderful place to explore the vibrant work of local artists across a variety of media, both indoors and outside in the sculpture garden. Conveniently located next to the Cape Cinema, which often features independent films and broadcasts of opera and ballet, it’s also home to a stunning and unique ceiling mural by artist Rockwell Kent.
If you’re up for a scenic drive, head to Provincetown and spend a couple of inspiring hours at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (P.A.A.M.). Their permanent collection highlights the deep artistic roots of the area, and the rotating exhibits always offer something new and diverse to enjoy.
Even closer to the Inn, you’ll find charming galleries in Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet. Many feature local paintings and photography, perfect if you’re looking to take home a meaningful piece of Cape Cod.
More into theater? You’re in luck! Catch a live performance at the Orleans Playhouse, the Cape Rep Theatre in Brewster, or the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT). Each venue brings something special to the stage, often featuring off-Cape talent during the summer season.
If music is more your style, the choices are endless. The local brewery hosts lively country and folk bands year-round, and outdoor concerts are a summer staple—check out the weekly shows at Windmill Green in Eastham or the bandshell at Nauset Beach in Orleans.
For classical music lovers, the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans and the Performing Arts Center in Brewster often feature world-class performances. The Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis is a favorite for big-name acts across genres, while the Payomet Performing Arts Center in Truro brings a fun, eclectic mix to its summer lineup.
And when the sun goes down, Provincetown lights up. With an energetic nightlife scene full of live music, dancing, and sing-alongs, you’re sure to find the perfect spot to end your evening on a high note.
