Plan now to attend one of the prettiest summer events in the entire coastal area: the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, July 6-15, 2018.
The annual 10-day event is a mix of garden tours, workshops, lectures, cocktails and art sales—but the highlight, for sure, is the opportunity to check out some of Cape Cods’ loveliest private gardens. Each day offers new gardens in different towns along the Cape. On July 10, the festivities come to Eastham, where visitors will be able to tour five unique gardens near to Whalewalk Inn. Following the tour, guests can stop by Eastham Public Library for a Wet Paint Sale, featuring art works created at local gardens by members of the Eastham Painters Guild and friends.
The Eastham Public Library is also hosting a Kick-Off Party for the fest on June 28, with guest C.L. Fornari, garden guru, author, and inspiration behind the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival.
Even the most avid flower fan needs a blooming break, so a fun addition to this year’s event is the Hydrangea Festival Cocktail Trail. Stop by one of the select local restaurants, venues, and stores along the trail and enjoy a specially crafted and hydrangea-inspired cocktail.
