This is one of our favorite signs of spring: the annual Daffodil Festival on Nantucket Island, April 27-29, 2018. Come stay at Whalewalk Inn and enjoy a weekend of color and fun.
Begun in the 1970’s, the Daffodil Festival has grown to become on of the highlights of the season. The star of the weekend are the more than three million blooms of every color, shape, and size blooming on the island, from roadsides to gardens and downtown shop windows—and at the spectacular Nantucket Daffodil Flower Show at Bartlett’s Ocean View Farm.
While daffodils are the star, they aren’t the only thing to enjoy at the fest. This three-day kick-off to spring has a little something for everyone, with activities that include an antique car parade to Siasconset and a post-parade picnic, art shows, contests, a Daffy Hat Contest, dog and children’s parades, lectures, and lots more.
