The Cape Cod Institute: Summer School Par Excellence

Since 1980, professionals in the health and mental health fields have been heading to Eastham, Massachusetts, to attend summer classes at The Cape Cod Institute. The school is just up the road from Whalewalk Inn—about a 12-minute drive.

The Institute has long been considered an excellent resource for psychotherapists, organizational consultants, and others in the behavioral science professions. Today, with more attention on mental health issues, its mission seems especially important.

Practitioners and professionals from across the world attend the Institute’s week-long summer classes, taught by leaders in the respective fields. Course topics are wide ranging, addressing issues in areas such as neuroscience, marriage, diversity, and mindfulness. Samples of upcoming classes include:
Frontiers of Trauma Treatment, Bessel van der Kolk, July 3-7, 2017
Brain to Brain, Body to Body: The Interpersonal Nature of Shame, Pat Ogden, July 10-14, 2017
Conscious Leadership: A Unified Model of Leadership Development, Bob Anderson, August 14-18, 2017
